About Us
For more than 36 years, Beacon Center for Children has been providing Early Learning services.
Here at Beacon, learning through play is the center of our philosophy. We offer engaging programs for children ages 18 months to 6 years, designed to nurture creativity and curiosity through fun, interactive activities. Our enriching environment helps young minds explore, learn, and grow with joy while surrounded by love.

What sets us apart?
We have several amenities and programs that contribute to our ability to provide a dynamic, interactive environment for children.
- A spacious yet secure and private playground area on our campus
- A long history in the First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia building, lending to a fantastic relationship between their staff and our program
- Collaboration with youth programs like Yous and Music Family Hour which operate in the same building
- A close-knit staff of loving teachers who treat your children as their own, and several of whom have been with the center for many years!
Our Programs
Early Learning Program
Beacon Center is dedicated to creating a home-like atmosphere of fun and learning for children ages 18 months to 6 years.
After School Program
Beacon Center provides pick-up for school-aged children, 5-6 years old, who attend Greenfield Elementary School (22nd and Chestnut Streets).
Summer Camp
Beacon Center offers a Summer Camp program from 2 to 5 days/week. Children 18 months - 6 years old can partake in all kinds of summertime fun!
